| PhoTags 1.2 Description: PhoTags gives you a powerful new way to add captions, label and organize your digital JPEG photos. It lets you create ActiveCaptions that are removable, searchable, and infinitely customizable. Unlike photo-editing programs, which merge text into the JPEG image so it can't be removed, PhoTags' exclusive technology puts your captions, comments, and any other text into a 'virtual layer' that never changes the image itself. You can add captions of any length... in any font, size and color... anywhere on your photo or its border. Captions can be displayed, printed, hidden or changed whenever you wish. PhoTags is also an excellent photo organizer. Because it stores each photo's information inside the JPEG file itself, it can instantly find any JPEG on your PC or network, no matter where it is. (With an ordinary database or image browser, if you move a photo out of its original folder, the application won't be able to find it.) You can search by the captions you've added... by category, date, comments, photographer... and more. And you can do it directly from the Windows 'Find' menu, without having to launch a program. Other features include the preservation of your photos' EXIF data recorded by your digital camera... the ability to add customized frames and borders... batch processing... and an email optimizer for faster transfers.
