This is the download page for SciWriter - soft4science SciWriter 1.0 is a XML based "WYSIWYG style" word processor that completely integrates writing mathematics and text in the same environment. The native document format of soft4science SciWriter is a subset of XHTML 1.1 and MathML 2.0 Presentation Markup. Mathematical templates, operators and symbols can be inserted by keyboard shortcuts or by using the toolbar.

For complete cross-browser compliance documents can be exported to XHTML where MathML nodes will be converted to image files.

Any SciWriter document can be send as a HTML encoded e-mail (MathML nodes are embedded as images). Those e-mails can be viewed with any e-mail client software that can display HTML encoded e-mails.
